Dr. Whitney Cummings D.O.

(she/her)

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Dr. Whitney Cummings, a board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist. I care deeply about providing warm, compassionate, and collaborative care to children, adolescents, and adults. While my approach is always individualized, it is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and connection. I strive to create a space where each person feels heard, understood, and truly seen in their mental health care.

As an osteopathic physician (D.O.), I take a whole-person approach to care, addressing the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of each patient’s health. My treatment plans draw from a blend of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and lifestyle medicine strategies to support your long-term wellness. I believe treatment should align with who you are and where you are, not just the symptoms you’re experiencing.

My practice is intentionally inclusive and affirming of all genders, sexual identities, races, and lived experiences. You deserve a safe, supportive space to heal, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in your mental health journey.

Outside of work, I’m a wife and mother. I love spending time with my family, and Michigan will always be home. I find joy in the little things: slow mornings, good music, and spontaneous living room dance parties.
